Volunteers & Stewards

Our summer exhibition wouldn't happen without the help of many people.  Volunteering can be a great way to meet new people, be part of a team and get great satisfaction from being part of our event.

 Ready for visitors

In the week before the exhibition, when we are setting up, we have small groups of people working together to iron and pin fabric to tables, accept entries on handing-in day, and display exhibits and paintings.    There's usually a lot of laughter along the way, as well as a good supply of tea, coffee and biscuits.  If you would like to get involved, we'd love to hear from you, whether you can spare an hour, a morning or a day.

If you would prefer to help during the exhibition, we also need stewards.  Stewards are the face of the exhibition, helping visitors to make the most of their visit and ensuring that work is kept safe.

Celia Morris, our chief steward, has been hard at work over the winter making new sashes in the Association colours - modelled here by her husband Tim, our new treasurer.
